The Last 18 Months

The day before Thanksgiving Tara and I spent the entire day baking. Everytime I did anything with the oven Tara would run over grab the oven mitts pull them on to her hands and stare up at the oven. I had soo much fun spending the entire day with my little girl, it's days like this that I wished I could be a stay at home mom!

"Weee Weee Weee" on her rocking horse

Tara didn't let her broken arm stop her

Tara found Daddy's candy stash

Tara showing her attitude

Thought it would be fun to show some pictures of Tara throughout her first 18 months of life!!

Eighteen Months

Tara is officially 18 months..time flies when you're having fun!! It makes me sad to think how fast my baby girl has grown, but I wouldn't change the age she is at now..she is a riot. Garth and I have soo much fun watching her learn new things. Who needs to go out to be entertained when you have a little one at home. Tara has developed such a quirky little attitude; from her fake laugh and her funny faces to the way she says "weee weee weee" while she is rocking back and forth on her rocking horse. Our newest adventure is potty training!! Saturday at Grandma Gnehm's house Tara dragged her into the bathroom stood in front of the toliet and proceeded to pull down her pants. Grandma didn't know if we had been working on the whole potty training thing, which we hadn't, so she sat her right up on the toliet to go. Now it's her favorite thing to do, she screams when we try to take her off. I am so greatful that to be her mom, she is the best addition too our family. I honestly don't know what I ever did without my little Tara. Love ya baby girl.

San Diego

Well we all made it back home safe and sound. San Diego was a lot of fun, we kept ourselves busy up until it was time to go to bed (which was around 8:00 California time..soo sad, we are soo old). We visited all of the kid friendly tourist spots, Sea World, Mission Beach, Old Town, and the San Diego Zoo. I would say that the zoo was by far my favorite. It was a perfect day to go, it was a little cooler so all the animals were out and about..Tara and I especially liked visiting the orangutan!! But the best part was being able to spend time with all of my family, I don't get to do it very often. Love you guys!!

Girlfriends

When Rachel sent me some pictures from her and Sara's visit to Utah it made me realize how much I missed having all of my girlfriends close by. Who knew that my decision to attend Utah State would give some of the best memories of my life..like when Brooke puked on the bus (this is still one of my favorite stories), when Sara, Rachel, and I took crazy pictures in the doorways (we were never bored, we kept ourselved entertained), the "porch boys", and all of the crazy parties. There are so many things I miss about these girls, but most of all I miss the laughter..we could sit for hours just talking and laughing about nothing, (something you just can't do with husbands). I'm soo greatful for all of the memories that we made and that we will continue to make. Thanks girls for your friendships and for all of the wonderful memories.

Halloween

Halloween night Jolene and I decided to venture out and take the kids Trick-or-treating..after the first house Tara knew exactly what to do. She would go right up to the door (normally she is so shy she doesn't leave my side), collect her candy making sure it was in her pumpkin, turn around with a BIG cheesy grin and run towards me laughing. You could tell in her little smiling face that she thought it was the greatest night ever..knock on a door and get free candy who wouldn't think it was great. It was fun seeing her so excited. She's my Little Ladybug!!

Motherhood

So life as a mom is very interesting! I think little Tara Lee has had her fare share of assorted illnesses for being only 16 months. With the ongoing sinus infections and ear infections to the fractured arm. I never knew I would be in and out the Doctors office so often. But yesterday as I was picking Tara up from daycare Brenda hit me with this, and as a new mom I was definitely caught off gaurd. Brenda.."so I noticed that she had olives for dinner last night" Me.."yeah she did, she kept stealing them off of my plate." Brenda.."well when I was changing her bum I also noticed this".. as Brenda hands me a BUG!!! I didn't know what to say, a BUG!?!? My first thought is that she had eaten it, but it was all intact so we kind of ruled that out. So what do I do? Do I take her to the doctor for this? Does this mean she has worms? Who knows. All I do know is that I never thought that we would find a little millipede BUG in my daughters diaper.
